Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree with an undergraduate or graduate major in family and consumer sciences education. A bachelor’s or higher degree with thirty (36) semester hours in family and consumer sciences education or home economics to include credit in the areas specified below: In July s. 231.1725 was enacted giving school districts the authority to issue non-degreed teaching certificates. The specific authority is s. 231.1725 (1) (c):
   

Documentation of education and successful occupational experience including documentation of:

 A high school diploma
or the equivalent.

Completion of 6 years of full-time successful occupational experience or the equivalent
